Thursday, March 19, 2009. Spring - fo real. Thanks to Auntie Ann for pointing out on FB that tomorrow is the first day of spring. That means that winter is over. Fine with me. Tomorrow is the last actual weird day off with my kids on a pretty much 2 week run. It's been long. Josie was sick for a week, and then we have been off for a week. Love the time. Coleman practiced his oral presentation several times before presenting it to the class. his hard work paid off, with a perfect grade all around! He was SOOO excited to run through the door that afternoon to tell me, and show me the sheet his teacher made remarks on. it was ALL fantastic! Way to go coleman!

We arrived in the mountains of north carolina after two flights and a drive to west jefferson, to visit garry's parents and attend the wedding of his uncle dan. we left the boys at home, to attend school and sporting events with the help of our dear sitter and my parents. upon arrival to "the mountains" hampton made herself at home. that is, after opening the party packages nana had assembled! We enjoyed lots of cooking, baking, playing, dominoing, bowling, crafting, and tagging. the kids played ghost in the graveyard nearly every night, with special flashlights in tow. it was hysterical to listen to them screaming outside in the dark, having a blast! What a treat, as always, to enjoy special time with our special friends!
