Cory McDaniel is a singer, song writer and guitarist born on the high plains surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in the western United States. This all leads to what is best described as Americana or American roots music… except for the European influence that crept in from his tours across the pond. This five to nine piece group tours biannually and recorded a live CD in Wyoming 2009.

Slow Groove Practice – Vinnie Stuff. March 28, 2016. Here’s a slowish kind of groove with some 5 and 7 note groupings that I can only attribute to listing to so much Vinnie Colaiuta. It’s rare that I actually recorded the click with the drums but did here for some reason. I think it ended up being cool because instead of sounding like total gibberish it’s only partial gibberish because the downbeats give you a sense of time when things get weird.
