In and around the Cotswolds, England. Saturday, 20 August 2011. It's nearly eight miles away and there was a horribly long hill to climb up. We walked, up it, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, until we found a down bit. However, our visit was to be all too brief. There is just one tiny road running into Cornwell, along the side and eventually leading to Moreton-in-the-Marsh. In and around the Cotswolds, England. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. Those precious late summer/early autumn days when there is faint tang in the air, yet it is still hot during the day. Now that the cricket season is over, our days off can be spent rediscovering old and much loved tramping grounds. These are all snaps of the stunning scenery around the Salperton Estate. There are decent footpaths running around it and they lead one through majestic, bosomy fields and valleys. The Cotswolds in autumn.

There are several footpaths round our village and although some might find doing the same walk day in day out rather repetitive, there are always new things to see, if you keep your eyes open. In and around the Cotswolds, England. Thursday, 17 June 2010. Our first little walk away from the village for weeks, just a two hour potter round a nearby footpath. The Cotswolds are glorious in summer, lush with greenery and basking contentedly under the sun like a plump cat. Our walk takes us through an extensive jumping area for a big stables, through a wide, manicured grassy track lined with hedges of dog roses. I prefer the dirt track which comes later. And turning into a wheat field to head back.
