Elizabeth's Quilt Projects: August 2015
http://elizabethsquiltprojects.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Quilt Projects for 2013. Saturday, August 29, 2015. Playing with Scraps ( aka Crumbs). My Stack the Deck. Quilt top is together and waiting to be sandwiched for quilting. I had a pile of scraps left from the trimming of the blocks. You know I can’t throw those away and most are also too large to be put in pet beds. I started sewing pieces together, then found some block units that have very similar fabrics and decided to use them. I like the crumb blocks better than the Stack the Deck blocks. To celebrat...

Canuck Quilter: Checkerboard border
http://www.canuckquilter.com/2015/07/checkerboard-border.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. It seemed like a good idea, then not so much, then good again, then I ground my teeth. I think it was worth it. The blue is a bit washed out from the camera flash, but that’s what I get at 9:30pm! I thought my airplane quilt needed a little something more. A checkerboard border to echo the nine-patch alternate blocks sounded just right, and with strip piecing it would come together quickly. In theory. About halfway through I didn’t think this was such a good idea anymore! I love ho...

Canuck Quilter: Which Way North?
http://www.canuckquilter.com/2015/08/which-way-north.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Which will shortly be winging its way north to its new owner. I can’t tell you yet how I came up with that name, but I can say that it has nothing at all to do with that little maple leaf and Canada being in the northern half of the continent. It does have to do with an oops in my quilting design, and that’s all I will say until the recipient has a stab at figuring it out! Another picture just because. And the requisite “quilt with feet” shot. Finally, just in case you think I ac...

~~~Windsom Windings of a Wayward Quilter~~~: August 2012
http://windsomwinds.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Windsom Windings of a Wayward Quilter. August 21, 2012. August UFO and The Case of the Missing Quilt Gloves. I had hoped that this post was going to be my complete UFO for the month of August. I haven't even worked on my UFOs for the last several months, but this months seemed easy and within range. I pulled it out last week and it went together so quick! Of course it's only about 24" x 36" so that's not saying too much.) My plan was to get it quilted and bound over the weekend. August 17, 2012. I didn't...
Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Design Wall Monday - Week 24, (20 June 2016): LATE! Better late than never; my posts are sporadic at best, but I'm not ready to call it quits. Not directly on my design wall - that's the same as last week with the two Allietare blocks - but on the pinning tables! I gave all the information on this pattern way back in this post. From May 2015. Yeah, I'm slow as molasses. That may be my new nickname. Linking up at Patchwork Times. Labels: Design Wall Monday. Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
