Sunday, May 21, 2006. Well, I decided to start posting a blog to describe my process leading up to surgery and my (eventual) recovery. The lawnmower fell on top of me on July 3, 2005. I've always felt like someone kicked me really hard in the rear. And the middle of my back has pain when any type of twisting or bending occurs. I’m Not Looking Forward to Deuteronomy. Two Awesome Things Happened Yesterday. No It’s Not Heartburn! Got the opportunity to preach today. It wasn’t an easy message to preach, but one I feel people needed to hear. The more I preach–whether to adults or students–the more I relate to the words of Jeremiah when he says, “But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!

I am teaching on spiritual disciplines right now in our youth program, and this week is on prayer. As I think about what I need to teach these students, I keep coming back to the simplicity of the task. It’s just talking to God. You be real. You be honest. You be you. Дорсет расположен на юго-западе Англии, на побережье Английского канала (Ла-Манша) и знаменит своими заповедниками (в том числе Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО, к которому относятся 3/4 побережья Дорсета).
