Tuesday, September 2, 2008. We were going to cut up to Grand Canyon, but time does not permit. We pause take in the red clay buttes jutting into the impossibly blue sky. The stunning Southwest color palette is invigorating! The 100 degree heat at 7:30 am, however, is not. We pass Apache and Navajo lands. Was it only Navajos that lived in teepees?
