Crafty Bean Counter: 2012
http://craftybeancounter.blogspot.com/2012/01/2012.html
The ramblings of an accountant who loves to knit, crochet, sew, and quilt. Sunday, January 01, 2012. Wow, where has 2011 gone? As I get older the years are starting to pile up faster and faster. What could New Years be without some Resolutions? Here are a few of mine. Get a handle on the housework. Destash my craft supplies. Lose weight ( the universal resolution). Complete 12 WIP's for 2012.. Maybe this a list I can really get behind and accomplish this year. The blanket is amazing! Icarus Shawl - 60%.

Crafty Bean Counter: October 2009
http://craftybeancounter.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
The ramblings of an accountant who loves to knit, crochet, sew, and quilt. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Just what I need. Another craft hobby. But here it is. The drop spindle bug has bitten and here are the first results. (Of course, I must remind everyone that I tried this craft a couple of years ago with a bottom whorl spindle. Never could get the hang of it.). Pretty good, huh? I think that I will spin the rest of the this wool and maybe make a scarf with my own homespun! Sunday, October 11, 2009. The y...

The ramblings of an accountant who loves to knit, crochet, sew, and quilt. Thursday, November 06, 2008. Where has all the time gone? I haven't posted to my blog since August. Well, I guess I will have to blame Ravelry. I have been spending a lot of time over there on the group boards. But I have finished a few projects. This is Fancy Fullness from knitting delight. This was knitted with Knit Picks Lace Weight Yarn on size US7 needles. It turned out very nice and is light as a feather. Icarus Shawl - 60%.

Will hold your hand virtually while working on the Seraphim Shawl by designer Miriam L. Felton. Monday, October 02, 2006. It took months, and I made a lot of mistakes, and had to get some help from the designer (thanks Miriam! But it is done. It was a real pleasure to knit and I learned a lot from the project. Reading folks' posts about this project really helped me when I was starting out, so I wanted to share a picture of the finished product! Posted by Laughingrat @ 6:11 AM. Stick a fork in me.

Seraphim Knit Along: April 2007
http://seraphimkal.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Will hold your hand virtually while working on the Seraphim Shawl by designer Miriam L. Felton. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. I have happily purchased yarn for a Seraphim that is destined to be a retirement gift for an extremely kind co-worker of mine. Luckily enough I don't have to have the shawl knitted for a good year or so, which gives me the opportunity to finish working on the Icarus that I currently have underway and is due as a Mother's Day gift! I'm just barely in the Icarus now, so it will probably ...

Will hold your hand virtually while working on the Seraphim Shawl by designer Miriam L. Felton. Tuesday, January 08, 2008. I finished my Seraphim and blocked it this weekend. Turned out really great! Knitted on US 7 (4.5 mm? Addi Turbos, using Knit Picks Sock Garden in Colorway Zinnia - took most of 5 skeins (and I have just a little bit left over). No mods, except for some fudging I might have done when my stitch count might have been off. I admit nothing. Thanks for a great knit, Miriam!

Will hold your hand virtually while working on the Seraphim Shawl by designer Miriam L. Felton. Friday, August 25, 2006. Here is my work-in-progress on the Seraphim shawl. I am just starting chart #1. I have never knitted a lace shawl before, so I am very nervous about the charts and everything. Before I start the chart I am going to run a life-line. Just in case! The yarn I am using is GB Wolle Cosy Socks. I have never used it before but it seems to knitting up just fine. The color is black. Posted by E...

Saturday, 17 March 2018. Saw a fabric, couldn't resist it, bought it, and ended up disappointed because it doesn't at all look like I imagined. The colours are much paler in real life, more washed out. I knew that this is a stretch fabric, but I didn't think it was as thick as it is. It is basically sweatshirt material. If only this fabric was something like a thin viscose, I would love that fabric! It is rather loose and not fitted enough and I'm not sure what to do with it. What a disappointment. I am ...

The ramblings of an accountant who loves to knit, crochet, sew, and quilt. Friday, January 27, 2012. I finished another WIP started in 2011. A second pair of socks. Can you tell that I like knitting socks? These were knitted with 1 ball (50gr) of Regia Design Line sock yarn that was left over from another pair. Closeup of the cuff. Stupid me, I knit the first sock on a 2.5mm needle (US 1.5) and the second on a 2.25 (US1). Hopefully, they will fit my Mom, who has a smaller foot than me. But there was a la...

Life is for Living, right? Too many people just sit and let life pass them by! I don't want to do that! Sunday, March 20, 2016. My Favorite Dallas Restaurants.
