I love spotting these little birds as their yellow feathers are so very bright and beautiful. one day earlier this spring, that cherry blossom tree was full of chirps and probably 8 - 10 pairs of goldfinches. they would constantly fly in and out and they don't sit still long, so i'm lucky to have captured them in focus at all. The Principal Charity Classic.

Sunday, May 8, 2011. To all who 'mother'. I typed in 'definition of mother' in google search and at the very top of the results was this definition of the word in it's verb form. Bring up (a child) with care and affection: "the art of mothering. I like this definition best. why? It's the most base and simplest form, there's no gender or blood line boundary set by it and i easily converted it to a noun. Noun: One who b. Rings up (a child) with care and affection. Thursday, April 28, 2011. H is for hook. This is my most favoritest hook in my little crochet world. I inherited this and a bunch of others from my grandma. she kept them in this old olive jar. [hubby surprised me by putting the daffodil in the jar on easter morning]. We'll be making squares as we hook along with Melissa @ Hooked on Handmade. Recycks and alittle life on the farm. Friday, April 8, 2011. Our school district hosts a carnival each spring.tons of fun for the kids and adults alike! So, recycks decided she needed to donate something this year to the silent auction! I had a pile of school sweatshirts and t-shirts that either were just plain worn out of had met the bleach bottle! We need to all donate time, materials whatever to help the youth. whether it's a school or an organization. Ughhhh. i guess i'll have to buy it back!

Brad's most favorite quick dessert is jello instant cheesecake! I thought i had a box mix in the house but as it was i did not! So research on the computer and i found a recipe for an 'instant' recipe! When i looked at it i thought - hey, that would work as 'sugar-free'! Better for all of us! 2 T melted REAL butter.

All those little pieces of left-over fabrics and papers get tossed into a basket.some make it into the bird nesting balls and others just sit there waiting patiently for their upcycling purpose. i keep looking at them, seeing their beauty and promising them i will use them. yup, i speak to my 'materials'!
