I grew up in Tampa, FL listening to Rush, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Jeff Beck and 80's metal. I went to normal college for a while, and when I decided to study music, I took a semester at Berklee in Boston before settling in at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. There, I studied Jazz Performance under Jack Petersen. Heard exciting new sounds, and met a great many interesting and talented musicians. Playing in " 3 The Band. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. This festival runs for 3 weeks and is spread out over several venues in the downtown district. There are over 100 acts performing each year. Although the fest is labeled as a "Jazz" festival, many genres are represented. I heard everything from funk and soul to Latin. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Some random tour photos. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Well here we are in Martha's Vineyard for the last show of this leg of the tour. Tomorrow we are homeward bound! Last night we were in Ridgefield. We played at the Playhouse with Marc Cohn. The show was great and the crowd was super excited. It's a great venue with a very hospitable staff. Friday, July 15, 2011. My most favorite thing about California is the Mexican food. Not only is the food cheap but so fresh and flavorful. For the whole Cali run I was on a 2 burrito/day diet. Meal-in-a-sack, what a great invention! Diamond Donny on failed trumpet. Our next proper show was at the Bircher Aquarium in San Diego. What a great place! Under the sea or stage in this case.
