In April 2010, the local Kroger was demolished in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky and the new store will not be complete until Christmas 2010. It's been an interesting adventure in grocery shopping ever since. As I continue to peruse my options and miss my homebased Fort Mitchell Kroger, I began this blog as a forum for funny stories, pictures of the rebirth of our favorite store, and the challenges associated with the convenience of our grocery neighbor!

Okay folks, the asphault is down and the parking spot lines are drawn, so the day must be near that our beloved Kroger doors will be open to us loyal shoppers in Fort Mitchell. Sunday, May 30, 2010. Working on the holiday weekend! The brick walls are going up quickly on our friend and neighbor in the Expressway Plaza on Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky! Crews seem to be working at a feverish pace over a holiday weekend to get the brick walls up. Makes it seem like we'll be shopping in there tomorrow, but I fear we'll be buying our Labor Day needs elsewhere! May the force be with you as you continue to figure out your shopping!
