All Things Ainslie and Emilie. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Muffins, Muffins, and More Muffins! Ainslie came up with the idea to hand out blueberry muffins (her favorite) instead of candy to the trick-or-treaters this year. Great idea, but a little more work! These are all of the personalized tags that will go on the muffins. The girls had their Halloween parties at school this morning. I was busy running back and forth between classrooms snapping pictures and helping Ms. Cherie and Ms. Penny! My friend A...

It’s not admitting defeat, it’s more of a war cry

Tie A Little Ribbon. It’s not admitting defeat, it’s more of a war cry. June 29, 2013. Trying to find the words to describe how I have been feeling lately is very hard for me. How does one open up themselves to the internet, strangers, friends, family, and tell them that they are having a hard time with life? But that’s the truth, my truth, right now. I am struggling and I can only hide it for so long. Standing at the base of that monstrous mountain and wondering to yourself how you are ever going to get...

Monday, June 23, 2014. Ode To The Back Yard. By Krista Fuller 2014. Roses red, veggies are green. Your small army of assorted Elvis garden gnomes make you ever serene. When Jason and I bought this house, I knew the backyard had potential to be the botanical escape which I had been longing to feel. Our buried treasure hidden under 2 feet of snow refused to reveal what kind of magic we were working with, but I knew whatever it was would be fantastic. And then one day. From Keith Richards to Richard Simmons!

The Brighter Writer: Tickled Pink
http://thebrighterwriter.blogspot.com/2014/07/tickled-pink.html
Friday, July 4, 2014. While perusing our local furniture store a few months back, I was startled to turn a corner and run right into this Victoria's Secret shopping bag display wall. This for her room and it would be so simple! I said to myself. I could knock that out in a couple hours tops. I said to my husband. Away my cocky self went to the home improvement store and I showed my picture to the paint man while ordering in my most matter-of-fact voice:. Room which reasoned that the girls. As we approach...

The Brighter Writer: Office Space
http://thebrighterwriter.blogspot.com/2014/09/office-space.html
Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Today is the fall. It's time to align. I haven't published anything since the 4th of July. I went all summer swinging from my hands beneath the tight rope, confusing it for a trapeze. It's time to climb on top, position my feet, and walk to the other side. Balance, balance, balance. The tail end of my last writing cycle was explosive and motivating and since then everything in my brain has turned into murky waters. I knew I wanted it to be a place where I would feel comfortab...

The Brighter Writer: Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler
http://thebrighterwriter.blogspot.com/2013/07/dutch-oven-peach-cobbler.html
Thursday, July 11, 2013. Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler. I've been experimenting with our new dutch oven pretty much nonstop since getting it. I had a friend at work give me this great recipe for dutch oven peach cobbler and tried it out last night to see what was up. Turns out, it was total perfection. Absolutely delicious and super. 2 cans (21oz each) peach pie filling. 1 box yellow cake mix. First, empty the 2 cans of pie filling and evenly spread on the bottom of your dutch oven. Craft paper edge scissors.

Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Ink A Bink A Bottle Of Ink. We go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong. Together forever like fricks and fracks, Franny and Zooey, In-n-Out, Bill and Ted, Limbaugh and Percocet, ass and Kardashians, Garfield and pizza, Harold and Maude, hippies and patchouli, warm cookies and cold milk, pestles and mortars. You guys are catching my drift. Presumably. Once one gets that taste of success, one often finds it difficult to go back. The Traditional Summer Lemonade Stand:.

Here are all of his ingredients to get things started on Wednesday night. And, of course, no brining would be complete without a good glass of Scotch! Daddy and his girls! The turkey goes in his brine bath for the night! The turkey is all buttered and ready to go on the grill on Thanksgiving morning! Break to be goofy!
