Quilty Bits 'n Whatnots: Party Pictures!
http://quiltybitsnwhatnots.blogspot.com/2012/05/party-pictures.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2012. I couldn’t make a post of Addy and Piper’s post anything as good as my daughter did! After making a book using Costco’s photo shop. For my aunt visiting from Cody, Wyoming, I decided to have you check the party out on Aimee’s blog. Enjoy! Beware – loads of collages of pictures and smiles! Oh, do you remember the balls from a previous post of mine? What a hit with the kids! If you can handle any more sweetness. NEXT party – Bridger’s first birthday party! Blogs I love following.

Quilty Bits 'n Whatnots: I just got back from Las Vegas
http://quiltybitsnwhatnots.blogspot.com/2012/06/i-just-got-back-from-las-vegas.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. I just got back from Las Vegas. My youngest nephew graduated from high school in Las Vegas on June 15th and I was fortunate to be able to attend. He had a wonderful ceremony and is a terrific young man. We are very proud of his accomplishments. Way to go, Jarod! While in Vegas, we were able to spend time with Jarod’s sister, Kira, brother, Derek and their extended family. Reunions are always fun! We saw Kira’s lovely home and Derek’s new hot car, too! It was a great trip! Creations...

Carolyn's Sewing Room: May 2012
http://carolynobryan.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 28, 2012. I decided tops and blouses were the next thing for me as I lose weight. First up was the Luna Top from The Sewing Workshop. I had made the Stella top from the same pattern in a knit. A few months ago, I found this fabric from Sawyer Brook and thought it would be perfect for this pattern. It's a rayon, crepey fabric, that looks like patchwork in different floral prints. It was a wonderful day. Happy Memorial Day everyone! Saturday, May 26, 2012. Sewing While Losing Weight. I am deter...

Pintucks and Pettiecoats: August 2012
http://pintucksandpettiecoats.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Have you seen the sister publication of Sew Beautiful. It is called Stitch Craft Create. I believe this is their third issue. I took one of my daddy's old wool sports jackets and felted it. I made four needle cases out of it. Two of the cases made from the jacket are featured in the Halloween issue. These are so much fun to make! They are practical, as they carry all your sewing supplies and are made from repurposed fabric. Do you have a special needle case?

Gathering Threads – Tutorial: Blocking Smocked Yokes with Freezer Paper | Smocking, Sewing and Creative Musings
http://www.clairemeldrum.ca/tutorial-blocking-smocked-yokes-with-freezer-paper
Tutorial: Blocking Smocked Yokes with Freezer Paper. On Jun 15 2011, in Smocking. The moment that always scares me when I’m making a smocked dress always comes when I’ve got to cut away my smocking for the armholes. Typically, the instructions say something like. “Block smocking. Trace armholes using pattern guide. Zig-zag inside the tracing. Cut.”. Sounds easy enough. How hard can it be? Adheres to the fabric, making it stiff and easy to handle. You get where I’m going with this? Smocking board or other...
