Ook de andere inwendige organen als de nieren, lever en alvleesklier worden bij dit onderzoek in beeld gebracht. Bij dit onderzoek wordt een scan van de buik gemaakt. Woensdag, 21 december 2016 12:54. Darmpatiënten kunnen onderzocht worden met behulp van een camerapil (ook wel videocapsule endoscopie of VCE genoemd. Hoewel de pil een klassieke scopie niet helemaal kan vervangen, is ze een waardevolle aanvulling voor mensen die een dunne darmonderzoek moeten ondergaan.
