Friday, February 8, 2013. I went into today's WOD completely freaked out. So much for not showing up afraid anymore. I had heard rumors of the Filthy Fifty, and didn't really think it was going to turn up on one of MY workout days. WRONG. It is every bit as hard as they say. As I sit here writing this my whole body is drained.I am sore on a cellular level. No, really! My cells are sore. I can tell. 50 box jumps (I did step-ups). 50 jumping pullups (I did 30). 50 KB swings (@20#). 50 wall balls (I did 30).

Thursday, June 27, 2013. I wish I had a picture to show you of me with my kids kayaking on the river where I spent so much time when I was a kid, but I didn't want to risk taking my iPhone with me. I did take some shots of them before I jumped into the one-man kayak and headed up the river with them. After calling them back and taking a few photos, another thing compelled me. It was the simple knowledge that "I can do this! We enjoyed this adventure so much that we repeated it, and went even farther today.

Friday, January 3, 2014. Today is my third day back at CF and the suck factor is going down by degrees each day that I'm back. Even so, as I was warming up today, swinging the kettle bell, doing my stretches, doing my pull-ups, I thought to myself, "I absolutely despise working out.". The truth is, sitting around is so ridiculously easy! But the other truth is I was sinking into the mire of poor health and a future of nothing if I continued in that mode. A few things, actually.
