Thursday, September 30, 2010. First of all, I just walked probably close to 2 miles in the sweltering midday sun to use the wi-fi internet at this hotel. I stumbled in, all disgustingly gross, bought my internet, and then wandered outside to be greeted by a view of the glittering blue ocean with beach chairs and sunny tiki umbrellas. Whoa! Speaking of the heat, why yes, it sure is hot here! For Spanish speakers, what might you think of if you ordered an “ensalada” somewhere? Try five scoops of ice cream!

Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Sending greetings and well wishes from La Habana. The past week and a half or so has been a busy one, full of days spent reading and writing and also spending time with our friends. Here are some of the things I've been up to. This morning's conversation was very interesting to me, they showed a few short films and then discussed environmental issues for 2 hours. Sidenote: I am surrounded by Germans right now! Anyways, I must scuttle off, but thanks for reading the blog!

Sunday, 14 March 2010. Its’ now just over a year since the Havana 9 all arrived back from Cuba. The two week delegation seemed to last a lifetime but still seemed to be over too fast.
