Chronicles in Culinary Curiosity. February 08, 2012. Eleven Herbs and Spices. Accent Flavor Enhancer (tm)? Odd (and not inexpensive – a 2 ounce vial of Accent costs nearly seven bucks)… but after nearly fifteen years on a mission to find a copycat recipe of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s original recipe chicken livers, anything goes. We've been here before. And judging by my Google Analytics numbers, there are a lot of you out there in the same boat. Now we just owe the guy who sent us this link.
Chronicles in Culinary Curiosity: Finger-lickin' good?!?
http://culinarycuriosity.blogspot.com/2006/04/finger-lickin-good.html
Chronicles in Culinary Curiosity. April 04, 2006. Remember Kentucky Fried Chicken Livers. I confess I don't, but John does. And he misses them. A lot. So if anyone's got a tried-and-true recipe, please point me in the right direction. A google search yields nor much . a compilation of internet jokes. And a dog with some interesting snack habits. Ingredients assembled, we began our experiment. The coating clung very nicely to the chicken pieces. We chose to double-coat it, hoping for a crispier te...So mo...

Chronicles in Culinary Curiosity. August 15, 2012. Glancing back, walking forward. Over the last several weeks, I've used my facebook space to spotlight some very special people in my life - men and women who've fought their own courageous battles with cancer. In the next couple of weeks, I will introduce you to a couple more. So in addition to the brave men and women in whose honor and memory I am walking, this year's journey is also about me. It's about taking back some control after six months wit...

Recipes and Reviews: Cooking, or lack thereof
http://ginasrecipebox.blogspot.com/2009/03/cooking-or-lack-thereof.html
Monday, March 16, 2009. Cooking, or lack thereof. So I have not updated or done a menu in a while. Why? Well, because Michael and I are trying (with limited success) to lose some weight. That means much simpler meals. And a surprising amount of my free time is spent working on my photography class. Sorry to disappoint my adoring fans with a lack of recipes and menus! I do have an apple pie recipe to post at some point, and a link to another dessert that I hope to get made this week for bunko.

Food First. Everything Else Second. Tuesday, September 23, 2008. A Sad Day in the World of Chocolate. Hey Food Fans,. Sorry for the gap in postings. However, today seemed as good a time to write as any. So not so long ago, I waxed poetic about the wonders of desserts and, namely, chocolate. Today, one of chocolate's most seminal figures passed away. No, not any of the Hersheys. No, not Lady Godiva (whoever the heck that is). No, not Russell Stover. Today, Robert Steinberg. Yet Robert is a classic examp...
