Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Unfortunately this post will be rather short as I can't upload any of the pictures I took at Stanley Park, but I took a lot of photos and will write a proper post later. Today was my first day alone but the transportation system here is pretty darn easy so getting around wasn't a problem. While I thought I would see heaps of squirrels in the park I only saw three, but couldn't get any decent shots of them because they're so damn fast and will run away if it knows you are there.

Friday, July 30, 2010. On Thursday I finally got my hands on the acceptance package sent from Sophia. It was nothing too special - in fact, it was just a pile of papers in a nondescript plastic sleeve. So no pictures sorry, they'd be pretty boring to look at anyway. One of the things in there was my Certificate of Eligibility, a very colourful card with my photo on it basically saying that I should be allowed to go to Japan to study. But apparently there is never enough red tape. Buy souvenirs and pack.
