Book Reviews | Daly History Blog

https://dalyhistory.wordpress.com/reviews

My Books and Articles. I love reviewing books. Not only because it gives me an excuse to read – I love nothing more – but I like the thought of being able to give other people an idea of what I think about something. Hopefully by doing so, they might find a book they fancy picking up too. Or, in some cases, I might help them steer clear! I believe in saying what you see, and calling a spade a spade, but also being constructive too. Battleground General Arnhem 1944 by Jon Sutherland and Diane Canwell.

My Books and Articles. D-Day on your Doorstep. IT Band = History? 16 May, 2014 · 12:10 am. Military History: is there anything new to learn? No, I like to feel that if I am going to spend 2 years of my life working on a book, that it will contribute something new to people’s understanding. Or, are there assumptions in the historiography that need re-visiting? Can more work be done on the large number of oral histories and personal testimonies of other ranks involved in the battle? D-Day on your Doorstep.
