We are very grateful that she is willing to continue to provide PT for Austin since his graduation from First Steps. We have therapy in the pediatric gym which is a room full of sensory FUN! Saturday, December 5, 2009. A couple of weeks before Halloween, Austin really started using his walker more. In the past month, he has gotten really good at getting around using his walker. We still don't steer very well and occasionally start to tip backwards but what a change! And, to make it all better. he loves it! He thinks he is so BIG when he walks! There have actually been times lately when he didn't want to be carried! He wanted to WALK! The smile on his face say sit all! View my complete profile.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Today, two of Austin's therapists tag-teamed him! Amy, our developmental therapist, on the left, plays with Austin. They play with cars and bubbles and puzzles! Amy had to reschedule her usual visit and came this morning when Holly was here. It was the best therapy session he has had in months! He stood up with Holly for about 5 minutes non-stop! He took side-steps against the couch to get the cars. And he did absolutely ANYTHING to get the bubbles that Amy blew! Today was our ...

Tuesday, March 17, 2009. So last week she tells me "When I grow up, Austin and I are going to get married and have babies." I quickly explain to her that she will not marry her brother but someone else. Tonight at bedtime it was a whole different set of revelations. Cady: I'm going to get married before Austin will. We made as many trips to the lake this summer as we could because I'm afraid there won't be many more years of Lake Wawasee in the future. The yearly expenses of the cottage are grand, and I know they won't be met for much longer. My fondest memories from childhood center around Lake Wawasee and the summers spent there with my family! I deeply want those memories for my girls and family too!

This year we celebrated my birthday at my in-laws house with a wonderful dinner and chocolate cake! Richie's cousin Eric and his wife Nettie came for dinner and we found out that her birthday was at the end of Feb. So my mother-in-law put a candle on the cake for her too. Boy did I feel old when she had a 24 on her side and I had a 34 on my side.birthday's aren't as fun past 30, are they?

The theme to the recital was the Pied Piper and she was a Petite Flower Fairy complete with flower wings. She did really well and was so excited when we surprised her with flowers after the show.
