Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I can't believe how quickly Makenna has been growing up these past few months! She'll be two next month already! She's discovered that she has her own opinion and knows how to voice it! She's our big cuddler and asks for tons of hugs and kisses! After the show.stage fright hasn't worn off! Makenna missed her nap! Resting on Daddy's shoulder:). Excited before the show! Trying to teach a bunch of 3 and 4year olds a dance routine can be an adventure! She just recently had her first.

Friday, July 31, 2009. Our second trip to the lake was a blast! The weather cooperated beautifully, and the girls were already comfortable with the cottage and routine. The lake swans Chief and Cinnamon visited us, but wouldn't get close enough to feed. That really upset Makenna! I uploaded a video of Kaela singing to the swans to try and get them to come closer. We are Adam and Kristi DeVries. We are currently building our own monolithic dome home. The structure of the dome is made out of an airform, isonene foam, rebar,and shotcrete. The inside of the dome will be like any other house! Hope you enjoy our story! This picture was taken in April of 2009, shortly after we put some of the windows in. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. A couple of weeks ago, we began going to Easterseals Crossroads to see Holly for physical therapy. We are very grateful that she is willing to continue to provide PT for Austin since his graduation from First Steps. We have therapy in the pediatric gym which is a room full of sensory FUN! Austin practiced climbing steps, walking around obstacles, and jumping on his first trampoline. I'm really not sure who had more fun. Holly loved being reunited with the kids!

This year we celebrated my birthday at my in-laws house with a wonderful dinner and chocolate cake! Richie's cousin Eric and his wife Nettie came for dinner and we found out that her birthday was at the end of Feb. So my mother-in-law put a candle on the cake for her too. Boy did I feel old when she had a 24 on her side and I had a 34 on my side.birthday's aren't as fun past 30, are they?

Our life raising two little girls with big personalities. Monday, June 14, 2010. My Petite Flower Fairy. This weekend Ava had her first ballet recital with Academy of Dance Arts. The theme to the recital was the Pied Piper and she was a Petite Flower Fairy complete with flower wings. She did really well and was so excited when we surprised her with flowers after the show.
