April 16, 2012. 10 Days of Accidental Unschooling - Day 1: Not So Super. I was the epitome of a 'school at home' homeschooler starting out. I bought a dry erase board, two little school-desks with cubbies underneath, a flag for saying the pledge, and stickers to go in my teacher grade-book. I kept meticulous lists of every book the kids ever read. We did anywhere from 5 to 8 hours a day, five days a week - and those were the early years! Pride, pure and simple. I was a victim of homeschool snobbery.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. 25 Days of Christmas. Well, tomorrow is December first and I'm sure you are already knee deep in preparing for Christmas. I thought I would share just a few of our favorite (old and new) holiday traditions. I am so glad it is done and ready to hang on the mantle! The calendar is just made of gift tags, flowers and circles cut out of card stock. I attached the tags to a long piece of twine with some clothes pins from the dollar store that I painted blue.
