It's Us!: Bear Much Fruit
http://ashlandfive.blogspot.com/2010/03/bear-much-fruit.html
CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. This is a picture of the lampstand. That was in the Tabernacle in the Old Testament. What does it have to do with bearing fruit? I went through a little Biblical journey and was so astounded at how beautifully it ties into my own present life, and how it was used to remind me how God wants me to profoundly bear much fruit. Said in The Shadow of Christ in the Law of Moses:. In the Tabernacle, we see this lampstand. We need to have a long obedience ...

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: December 2008
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 27, 2008. Christmas Ponderings for the New Year. Maybe that is what God was able to do in my heart this year. I was able to SAVOR his sacrifice, his humility. I was forced to examine the way I worshipped and how I portrayed Christ to others. It made room in my heart to worship Jesus in the WAY of Jesus. The miracle is that God personally entered our story. Amidst the heavy blanket of darkness, a small cry was heard. A sound so beautiful it would shatter the shackles binding our feet.

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: April 2009
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 11, 2009. I just came from our church's Good Friday service. It was somber, artistic and absolutely beautiful. Tonight, I feel the true depth of my soul. It is a stirring that cannot be contained by words, figures, or even my feable attempts at writing. It feels almost like every crack and crevice of my humanity has been discovered and filled. Sealed. Completed. I can't really explain it beyond that. To experience Him…to taste, sense, feel his sacrifice in a physical and tangible way.

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: January 2008
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 21, 2008. There are days in which you feel as though you are trudging through life on only the sometimes waning vapors of an obedient faith. Though you realize the Lord has not forsaken you, you long for a tangible reminder of His presence. That silence can be a vast well, one in which your soul so desperately wants to climb out of, but is instead forced to wait in patient stillness. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him." Ps 95:4. Maybe we arenR...

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: Thank You
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2008/11/thank-you.html
Friday, November 28, 2008. I guess I could write a list of everything I am thankful for but somehow it just seem too obvious. Instead, I have been challenging myself to examine each moment and pull from the beneath the surface the little things that seem to go by unnoticed. I want to really ponder what it means to be thankful and how, if my heart is truly in that place, how differently I would live my life. What kind of a person would I be? How differently would I treat my husband? I'm a 25 year-old Port...

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: March 2007
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 31, 2007. Thoughts in the Palm of My Hand. During this morning's devotions, I read Isaiah 49:16:. 8220;…You will absolutely never forget me! You have engraved me on the palms of Your hands.”. Friday, March 23, 2007. Okay, so I admit I gave in a bit too easily. At first, I remember pulling the cake from the oven and asking myself how did I ever manage to think baking a 13x9 cake for TWO people was somehow a good idea? Take that you despicable calories! You know, that is also true in our da...

Writing Journal of Rebekah Birt: June 2008
http://rebekahbirt.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 19, 2008. Life, even with its struggles, twists and turns, is a very beautiful thing. Sometimes, I forget that. It's so easy to concentrate on whatever issue is consuming me at the moment that I fail to focus on the greater picture of what God is doing in my life. Absolutely. But it is one I wouldn't change for the world. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God." Ps. 25:1. View my complete profile. A List of My Faves.
