Arrived at the dome about 9.15pm just in case we have any visitors, 9.20 two arrive but still daylight showed them around the dome with a promise to come back later in the year when the sky is a little darker. RobinRhys and Max came later so went through the start up procedure,it was starting to get a little bit darker by 10.00 so went star hopping. Had a look at Vega, Alberio and a few others but the sky was nowhere dark enough for clusters tried M13 to no avail.

41 children from Hill House School staying overnight under canvas.Having booked a stargazing session we had to wait for twilight so I did the usual talk on planets etc.10.00 pm and they managed to see Venus,Jupiter and Saturn.A clear but hazy sky.Max and I left about 11.30 leaving Brian to adjust the collimation on the ODK. Closed 10.45 Dave. During the afternoon, Dave helped me re-balance the ODK12 in DEC, then I re-greased the dome's track. It had been squeaking a lot over the last few days. A check showed there was none of the old grease left. I used Molybdenum Disulphide grease and a 4" painting roller and 3 hours.
