daveintoronto: December 2003

http://daveintoronto.blogspot.com/2003_12_01_archive.html

Maple Leafs And Music. Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Nolan Carries The Leafs To A Point In Florida. Tomas Kaberle returned to the lineup resulting in Rick Jackman being sent down to St. John’s. Kaberle looked as though he was a little tentative attempting to avoid any unnecessary body contact. He was also beaten one on one a couple of times during the game. Defense is one of the toughest positions to play so it may take Kaberle a few games to get his timing back. Posted by Dave at 10:54 AM. Mats Sundin con...

Maple Leafs And Music. Sunday, May 30, 2010. Rigamarole - A Foot In The Crease - Episode 5.37. For the NHL, they are surely loving the reincarnation of two solid hockey markets in two major American cities. No disrespect intended to cities like Raleigh, Anaheim, and Tampa Bay but if the league is looking for major television numbers on a national level on NBC, they’ll have a much better chance attracting them with two of the biggest cities in the US reaching a fever pitch over their teams. Episode 3....

Maple Leafs And Music. Sunday, May 16, 2010. Rigamarole - A Foot In The Crease - Episode 5.35 Ft. Jesse Beamish. It really was like bizzaro world in the Eastern Conference during the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Two series, each producing staggering results simultaneously was enough to make you scratch your head and wonder if what you were seeing really was, in fact, happening. Pushing the series to a seventh game while trying to become only the third team in NHL history to come back from su...

Maple Leafs And Music. Saturday, September 27, 2003. Is Klee The Key? This past summer, they went ahead and signed rugged defenseman Bryan Marchment who is sure to strike fear into opposing forwards who may have ideas about setting up camp in front of Ed Belfour. Today, another more than competent defenseman was added to the roster in the form of Ken Klee. Posted by Dave at 6:04 PM. Monday, September 22, 2003. Tired Leafs Run Into Road Block. Maple Leafs And Music. Sunday, June 20, 2010. Rigamarole - A Foot In The Crease - Episode 5.40. While it may still wear on throughout the summer for the players, by now, just over a week since their Stanley Cup triumph, the feeling of euphoria must certainly be starting to wear off for Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman. Remember the problems that the Tampa Bay Lightning went through after winning the Stanley Cup in 2004 when the big three of Vincent Lecavalier, Marty St. Louis and Brad Richards were ...

Just another WordPress.com site. September 3, 2016. Starting to dip towards something more comfortable for a Scot from the West. C At least you won’t have to worry about that this year, May. Up along the Icefields Parkway, on the way to Jasper, the glaciers are visible year-round, but I prefer to see these colossal walls of ice when their mountains are swaddled in snow. So, in reality, it’s probably about six weeks or so until we’ll see snow. In the meantime, I have to content myself with...July 1, 2016.
