Good Taste and Bad. - Oodles of doodles. Good Taste and Bad. Aug 12th, 2010 05:36 am. I was perusing the art of several comics fans, and it occurred to me that of all amateur artists, comics fans are the worst. Not that their work is technically inferior to that of other amateurs, but it's in worse taste. It's crass. They say there's no accounting for taste, but I say. The remedy, I guess, is to relax and trust the viewer, and to bask in art that makes its points with simple clarity. Classic foreign ...

Politik: So what, again, is wrong with socialism?
http://politik90.blogspot.com/2013/11/so-what-again-is-wrong-with-socialism.html
Sunday, November 03, 2013. So what, again, is wrong with socialism? So what, again, is wrong with socialism? The socialists always end up to be secret Capitalists, and looking for their own good. Socialism would only work if every person were to give her or his maximum for good. Thus it is always doomed to failure. At least this side of heaven. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Poetry: Santa
http://poetrymrd.blogspot.com/2005/12/santa.html
Poetry from a toothless teacher. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Mr Santa, A Simple Request. By P Davis ©2004. Just a simple machine. From Mr. Santa will do. From a humble servant. My list is not long. No need to check it twice. I’ve not been naughty. It would be so nice. But it is just a small thing. Certainly you could find a way. Somewhere in your sleigh. Tucked in that magic red bag. Amidst other toys for boys and girls. It would not cause clatter. For your reindeer to pull such a small matter.

Poetry: The Long Light

Poetry from a toothless teacher. Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Once I waited for a signal light that seemed a mite long. It was so long that-. I built long term relationships with passengers. And then the light changed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Sunny Country of Common Sense.

Tuesday, December 25, 2012. God said, “Man shall live by the sweat of his brow”, and so was born capitalism. Marx said, “Man shall live by the sweat of someone else’s brow” and so was born socialism. Poetry: The Odd Teacher

Poetry from a toothless teacher. Sunday, August 12, 2007. There once was an odd teacher. With quite a silly facial feature. T'was a wart on the end of her nose. That reached right to her toes. Casting quite the dark creature. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Sunny Country of Common Sense.

Poetry: The Mere Mirror Man
http://poetrymrd.blogspot.com/2009/07/mere-mirror-man.html
Poetry from a toothless teacher. Thursday, July 09, 2009. The Mere Mirror Man. By Pat Davis (c) 2009. In my beginning is my end . . .In my end is my beginning." T.S. Eliot. Is that really the me that others see? How is it that I do not seem like me? At six I wondered and looked. I saw a boy looking back, not me. At sixty I still wondered and looked. I see a grizzled fellow, still not me. What the mere mirror man misses! In me there is so much more to see. A little sleep, a little slumber.

Poetry: The Present
http://poetrymrd.blogspot.com/2006/05/present.html
Poetry from a toothless teacher. Sunday, May 07, 2006. The chains of the past encircle our plans for an uncertain future, but it is only in the present, flitting and fluttering by each instant, that we have the power to forge links to either the future or the past. Poetry: Selling Your Soul
http://poetrymrd.blogspot.com/2005/12/selling-your-soul.html
Poetry from a toothless teacher. Sunday, December 25, 2005. I wrote the following in 2003 after watching two poorly done movies about selling your soul to the devil. I am also too old and think this has not been well done since. In Damn Yankees. In any case, these movies are based on a false theological premise, which is the point of my feeble verse. By PDavis © 2005. Much ado is made about it. More acclaim is given to it. The desire in us does shimmer. Allure out there does glimmer. Cheaply do you ask?
