We spent three weeks in Empangeni, near Richard's Bay, with Dave's brother and sister-in-law. We had such fun spending time with family for the Christmas season. Amy has been really ill since we returned from Africa. She had an inner and outer ear infection, which triggered loose crystals in her ear (causing bad vertigo) and then to top it all off a dose of shingles! So we have been to a specialist and had treatments and now she is starting to feel almost normal again! So where are we now?

Sunday, August 23, 2009. My Aunt Vickie, my father's sister, passed away today. She battled breast cancer 2 years ago and survived. They recently had found cancer in her liver and started chemo this past Monday. She was weak because the chemo had made sores in her mouth and she wasn't able to eat or drink anything so they put her in the hospital. From there on she began to get worse and worse.
