Monday, February 14, 2011. Life is So Fragile. A friend from work was killed in a car accident on Saturday morning. He passed out at the wheel. Not sure what happened, but I guess he had some sort of medical history.). And was thrown from his car. Please wear your seat belts! He was 20 years old, with a wife and 2 kids- the younger is 5 months old. He and his wife were married in the temple. Having this happen on the heels of almost losing my husband. Has made it very clear to me just how fragile life is.

Monday, August 13, 2012. Has it really been over a year since I've blogged? I'm sure there is NO ONE left reading this,. But I have a new reason to blog. But before I get to that,. I'll give the fast-forward version of the last year. Living away from Dave was so hard! And at the end of the summer. I ended up losing my job anyway. The short version of that story is. That someone I worked with stole my cell phone. I was able to track it to their home,. And the police recovered it for me. After losing 10 lbs.

Saturday, February 26, 2011. Last week we had a day that got into the 50's. So we decided to take advantage of the 'warmth'. And go for a walk to the duck. Pond that is near our house. Reece and Jocey loved throwing bread for the ducks to eat. And I think the ducks liked the treat and the attention I doubt they get many visitors in February. It was a fun little walk and we got home right before the wind and cold rolled back in. We definitely have spring fever. Im so with you on the Spring Fever thing!

Each of them in their own right have spectacular qualities that never cease to impress me. A few weeks ago, I had a day that reminded me all the sacrifice, heartache, and frustration that typically accompanies raising young children is completely worth it. Thursday, August 11, 2011. One of the greatest things about living in Palo Alto is the Stanford Theater. Seriously, it is awesome. It's like taking a magical ride in a time machine. Behold the awesomeness. We went for a Hitchcock Festival (North by Northwest and Strangers on a Train). It was really fun. The theater is beautifully restored. Monday, December 6, 2010. My favorite holiday drink is Wassail. It's a traditional English hot cider. I like to think the recipe has been handed down through the generations from my ancestors who immigrated from England but really I have no idea. Here is the recipe. It's delicious. 1 tsp whole cloves. 1 tsp whole all spice. 4 qts apple juice. 1 can frozen orange juice. 1/3 c lemon juice. 1/3 c brown sugar. I usually half the juices and sugar because we don't have a pot big enough and it turns out great.
