298/366. Blue umbrella. 296/366. Purple flowers. Pining just a bit. Of spring and summer. 295/366. Showy milkweed. 293/366. Black-eyed susans. These are the flowers that I loved this summer. When all was withered and parched from drought. This stand of black-eyed susans. Brightened the entry to our house. They bloomed on and on until a recent frost. Thanks, dear flowers, for your shock of color. Thanks for your hardy nature. Thanks for brightening our days. Rest well and promise to come again next year.

I think Fall needs to be so magnificent because the darker mornings, early sunsets and sense of winter that looms in the air by mid-November needs a counter balance. Day to day living and then some. Thursday, 15 November 2012. I am having a horrible week and hardly seem to be awake, Mum is typing this out for me as I am very tired and feel unwell. Just hoping that if I keep going with the radiotherapy it will pay off and I will be back to replying to e mails, texts and up for visitors again. Monday, 12 November 2012. I don't like Mondays. But the tiredness from the radiotherapy is starting to take hold, I can't seem to stay awake for more than 10 minutes at a time!

When we think of the term "self harm" we think of teenagers with razors or addicts refusing to get help, but I think the problem is a far wider one with a good percentage of the population coming under the umbrella of "self harm" at one point or another in our lives. I hope I can keep fighting the battle and that I don't get swallowed...
