Day to day living in the nut house: March 2014
http://daytodaylivinginthenuthouse.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Monday, 24 March 2014. Pass me the illegal diet pills please.its an emergency. I know, I know, we've finally jumped on the band waggon, we've given in to peer pressure, we admitted things may not be perfect. Yes I am talking about the dreaded "weighty" issue of the family's diet. We been at it 2 days. As we all crunched, lapped and admittedly some of us picked at our lunch this slightly panicky feel...

http://daytodaylivinginthenuthouse.blogspot.com/2014/12/living-with-mother.html
Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Tuesday, 9 December 2014. Ok so I am 18 months into living with my mother, and while for the most part things are going well, there is always the odd thing that leaves me pondering what I am going to be like when I am 70. Living with the older generation. Please feel free to comment on my blog, its interesting to hear other peoples perspectives on my thoughts :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Wednesday, 26 October 2011. Finally off the Prozac and UN Peace negotiations. In a blink of an eye it will be Christmas and I will be starting all this all over again! Links to this post. Sunday, 9 October 2011. Since you've been gone. Light bulbs have been changed, toilets unblocked and bins taken out. The TV is mine and I iron in front of it. When doors slam no one jumps any more. Make up is worn.

Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Thursday, 13 February 2014. I think I'd rather have wrinkles than spots. I know most people would probably disagree but as least wrinkles would give me more a look of wisdom and knowledge rather people associating me with the mental capacity of a teenage monkey. I am currently using Peter Thomas Roth product pads which has glycol, Salicylic. My skin is back under control more or less, though I have ...

Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Sunday, 31 July 2011. To my surprise I got 2 responses back, which in this day and age is a bit of a miracle, one was from an agency wanting to get me on their books. Fine who knows something might come of it. The other was from an agency phoning me to tell me their client wanted to see me! Links to this post. Thursday, 21 July 2011. Too much, too little where do I find the balance. A little bit fat.

Juggling daily life, chocolate and cyberspace. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Loving our new hobby! August 27, 2014. I’ve recently rediscovered Geocaching, which I spent, ooh, a couple of months failing at back in 2011. This time I’ve persevered and got the family involved too. Wider family has also been introduced to the game, successfully so far (ie they don’t all think it’s daft ;-) . You can find out what I’m rambling on about by going here:. Http:/ www.geocaching.com. Home Truths: November 2010

Friday, 26 November 2010. From a rock to a hard place? Look at this - a whole month almost since the last post. How crap is that. I'm so impressed with the. Bloggers who get something up every day. Could it be that I'm losing enthusiasm since my last post got no comments? I watched a great programme on Sky 3 the other day. 'The Real Desperate Housewives'. It made me feel a whole lot better about my life! I wasn't going to work part-time! I wasn't going to have kids! Then I met Mr G. Now, after a coup...
Home Truths: December 2010

Thursday, 23 December 2010. Well, for once my photo looks current! It poked out of the Turkey's backside like a bad case of piles. I insisted on helping myself to a large portion but struggled to find any merit in the taste either. It was the source of much mirth then and ever since. Please leave well alone if ever tempted! The thing used to come out of the oven swimming in water - not a natural juice in sight. No worries - a quick douse of Bisto (beef) Gravy Granules and Bob's Your Uncle! Will she feel ...
Home Truths: June 2011

Thursday, 16 June 2011. Life's Little Unlearned Lessons. Did you think I'd given up? No, I'm back - a little less stressed with a convenient half hour to write a post. I'm also acutely aware that I'm at CyberMummy in ten days, so clearly need to up my post count pronto! I haven't been idle tho - I have been mentally gathering a list in my head of all the things I have learned over the years, but still always do. These are the ones I have been getting wrong this month:. 3 Ditto for eating the fat on bacon.

Wednesday, 27 October 2010. It's finally happened - Sam's worst nightmare. He's broken his ankle playing football. Not because he was bravely attempting a sliding tackle or aggressively fending off an opponent while tearing down the wing. No. Sam broke his ankle while stepping on a stationary ball. He has offered up a complicated explanation of how this occurred after a heroic save in the back garden of a friend's house. I have my doubts. Just asked me yet again. If I did actually order it). So, therein ...
Home Truths: January 2011
http://hometruthsblog.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 10 January 2011. I have just spent the last hour on my hands and knees in the freezing cold covered in what looks and smells like regurgitated puke. I have had to strip off down to my undies and relegate my clothes (and coat) to the washing machine. My hands still stink inspite of numerous washes. What was I doing? Not just any old drain mind - the one into which pours the water from my kitchen sink - after having taken a trip through the waste disposal unit. Oh sorry did you tell me not to?

Monday, 14 March 2011. A lesson in Passing the Buck. One of my pet hates is when a company fobs responsibility onto a retailer when they produce faulty goods. This happened to us again at the weekend. Lily was reading The Borrowers, when having reached page 35, the book started again, and then skipped 50 pages when it reached the next page 35. Please note, Penguin cannot replace books purchased from bookshops. This. Is because we sell our stock to the bookshops and they are then. Links to this post.

Wednesday, 9 March 2011. Picture the rare scene at 8.30 last Sunday morning:. Whole family lazing smugly around in cosy White Company bathrobes. Sun filtering through windows for the first time in months. Kids being pleasant to each other. Mr and Mrs G being pleasant to each other. Croissants gently crisping in oven. Warm smell of coffee filling kitchen. Virgin Sunday Times waiting to be lazily perused. Dog snoring contentedly on bed. Phone call to say football canceled. Out of filter in all directions.

Thursday, 24 February 2011. HOW POWERFUL IS PESTERING REALLY? My daughter has started a new school, and along with other pressures comes the need to be seen as ‘a good mum’. Last Friday she announced she needed a blue nose. A request like this usually implies an entire costume is required at breakneck speed for an assembly or charity day. 8216;What do you need it for? I’m not sure I have a blue eyeliner…’. 8216;Not a blue nose Mummy! And the herd follows. I feel my shackles rising. Nothing annoys me ...

day to day living and then some
Day to day living and then some. Thursday, 15 November 2012. I am having a horrible week and hardly seem to be awake, Mum is typing this out for me as I am very tired and feel unwell. Just hoping that if I keep going with the radiotherapy it will pay off and I will be back to replying to e mails, texts and up for visitors again. Monday, 12 November 2012. I don't like Mondays. But the tiredness from the radiotherapy is starting to take hold, I can't seem to stay awake for more than 10 minutes at a time!

Day to day living in the nut house
Day to day living in the nut house. A mums view on life the universe and a small town in Northamptonshire. Monday, 14 March 2016. Ways in which we self harm with no weapon. When we think of the term "self harm" we think of teenagers with razors or addicts refusing to get help, but I think the problem is a far wider one with a good percentage of the population coming under the umbrella of "self harm" at one point or another in our lives. I hope I can keep fighting the battle and that I don't get swallowed...

Life with Lumpy
There is nothing better than a bit of early morning exercise to work up an appetite. The right way to start the day. Everyone knows breakfast is your most important meal of the day. To sleep, perchance to dream - ay, there's the rub. Balls to you all, I say! Why do we insist on the so-called 'perfect' shapes? Wimbledon is snobbery - the awfully-perfect green spheres lobbed between players. I have deconstructed the tennis ball to show that it s more than just a 'spherical perfection'. What I always wanted.
