Having grown up in Germany, Belgium and Ireland, studied in the USA, Ireland and France, and worked in Switzerland, France and Gabon, I am currently based near Toulouse with my French husband and three kids. I love food and spend a disproportionate amount of time either buying, cooking, eating, talking or simply thinking about food. Except, now being slightly carb conscious, I use wholewheat spaghetti instead of traditional lasagne sheets. I also used orange sweet potato for the top layer instead of regular potatoes. Preparation and cooking time: 1 hour and 15 minutes. Pinch of ground black pepper. Pinch of smoked red chilli flakes. 750g orange sweet potato in small cubes. Sliver of softened unsalted butter.
