I'm Thankful for the Thorns: March 2009
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. I believe things are look up. Sitting here reading over my last post, I was in quite a slump. I'm happy to report, things are looking up. An ad was placed in the local paper. The responses were overwhelming. Each day I got 20-30 applications for one open position. They were mechanics, accountants, teachers, and a host of others. Not too many had real long term care experience, let alone activity programming experience. God Bless. Good Night. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. The week end...

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: February 2008
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 04, 2008. A little taste of my world. Stole this from Chelsea: who stole it from Mel. Tuesday. And after working the grave yard shift I will go out to lunch with a bus load of Alzheimer's residents from work, who really appreciate being able to go out and do something different, even if they don't know where they are. I am loved, I have a job, My family is healthy and happy. I have a great family! My brother to find that perfect job that makes him shine like the wonderful person he is.

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: Looking out for each other...........
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2009/01/looking-out-for-each-other.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. Looking out for each other. I know six or seven dollars don’t seem like much, but it can be an awful lot if you running short. Raising my own daughter, I can remember seeing how far I could stretch twenty or thirty dollars sometimes. Somehow, with God’s help, we managed but sometimes not without the help of prayer. God is so good. I am so glad I checked your blog tonight, and you are so right that all of us can do some things to help those worse off than we are. Verse of the Day.

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: June 2008
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2008. A coincidence or a small miracle. For 10 weeks and I couldn't wait that long. Having this same job available at the same time I am once again looking, I think it is a sign from God. Day he called and scheduled me in the very next working day. Reasons, staying gone as much a five minutes each. While he was away, I joined in the activity on two separate. When we returned to his office he said I pasted his test. I told him I didn't know I was being tested. He ask if I knew wh...When ...

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: September 2008
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Vanity may not be your best option. Something that has always puzzled me. It doesn't matter what walk of life you come from . What nationality . What race . Or even size, age, shy, or not. It never ceases to amaze me how vain we are. Don't be too proud, to vain to show you true colors. And don't be too hard on yourself. God made us all is his glory. We are what and who he intended us to be. Living in his grace will be more that enough. Do all that you can ...And even Florida&...

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: Where does the time go?
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2009/05/where-does-time-go.html
Tuesday, May 05, 2009. Where does the time go? I so totally let April get away from me. And May is well on the way of getting away. They say the older we get the faster the time gets away from us. Funny, I don't feel old, tired sometimes, but not old. Of great stuff in May in celebration of the elderly. We have a full week of celebration which includes Senior Prom that is well into planning. Everything is crazy now but will be behind me in a week. Thanks for stopping by and letting me bend your ear.

Saturday, May 30, 2009. What I've Learned These Past Months, Without Trying. A little more than four months ago, I had surgery for a knee problem, and looked forward to a quick recovery. Now plans are made for more surgery on the same knee. I am sure other things are going on in people's lives and in this world, but it does not feel that way for me. Early on in dealing with this unwanted loss of mobility, I learned to keep needed things in my huge bag, and to take the lightest books and things to church,...
