In the process of building the SMPS Rover, we were able to use resources that DEEP classes before us have never been able to apply. The biggest piece of innovation that was implemented was the Sabertooth Motor Controllers. This was the first year St.Matthew's has obtained these and they were very helpful in the making of our Rover. A motor controller is a type of motor driver that can control two different motors at a time which was perfect for the design of our project. Create a free website.

Today we needed to make sure that our motor board wouldn't fry again. We did this by getting a fuse, and attaching it to our wires which attach to the battery. If we didn't have our fuse there would be a possibility that the voltage going into the motor board is too great. If this happened it would fry. The coatings we are using are Hyrophylic. We decided to use a wooden stand to switch out three different rain gutters, which will be coated differently. The water exits a bucket through a spout, and it gains, loses or keeps its momentum. We then measured how far the flow of water launched itself out off the gutter.
