Day of Race Schedule. 7th Annual Defiance 50k - Saturday, October 8, 2016 8:00am - REGISTRATION OPENS 6/1. The course is two approximately 16.6 kilometer (10.3 mile) loops through old growth forest. Each loop will come by the start - finish. Course is mostly single track and typically dry mid October. Train for some hills but the course is 95% run-able. This race is part of the Crown of the Sound 13.1 Series! We will also keep score and will award age group winners of the series with age group ribbons.

Monday, November 21, 2011. Heading into JFK I had mentioned the sneaking suspicion that it would be easy for someone to break the existing course record. As it turns out, it was probably two guys trying very hard, but making it look easy! Congrats to both David Riddle and Mike Wardian for their accomplishment.
