Sunday, January 31, 2016. Four Corners Mesa Verde Natural Bridges. On our way home from Mesa Verde, we decided to stop at Natural Bridges National Monument. Natural Bridges are sandstone formations that were formed by erosion from moving water, like a creek. Our first stop was an overlook where we could see one of the three bridges, Sipapu. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Field Trip: Mining Museum. On June 8, 2009 we went to the Western Museum of Mining and Industry. This trip was impromptu, because the day before we learned that they were celebrating 150 years of mining history, and were offering $1.50 admissions.
