Nikon CLS and TTL/BL flash. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. This afternoon I decided to put the new "mutant" flash through its paces to see what it could do . I fired it about 15-20 times all together without giving it much time to cool down . I took a few shots to compare it to the SB800 on full power .Ignore the background getting brighter , it was raining and the sun was coming out again . Concentrate on the foreground and shadows . I used the D50 because it can sync flash at any speed . 5) SB400 and TTL/BL.

This is the prototype of my modification of a cheap dummy camera , with built in motor and motion sensor , to trigger my camera . The video. Now this is obviously very rough as it involved a fair amount of trial and error and modifications , so you could do a better job now that you know how it goes - and I will do a better job when my more advanced motion sensor arrives , and I'll share the results with you as well :) .

Nikon CLS and TTL/BL flash. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Sound activated flash trigger. I have been asked to share my technique with regard to triggering a flash for 'special' pictures . Here's the youtube video. Plug a 'pc' cord into it and take the two wires to the relay on the switching kit , connect them to pin 'com' and 'no' contacts of the relay [ 'common' and 'normally open' ] . Take a few test images and adjust the distance of the flash to get correct exposure before you start destroying anything .
