What's For Dinner?: February 2010
http://dinnertimechicago.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
It's not always exciting, but it's always edible. Served with a side of life. Sunday, February 28, 2010. This casserole is from the book Cook's Country Best Lost Suppers and it is delicious! I cut this recipe in half, but I will post it here in all it's full ingredient glory. It says it serves 6-8, but I think it would be more like 8-10. Like I said, I only made half and my husband and I each had 2 helpings and we had half the casserole left! Maybe we eat little portions? 1 tbsp. vegetable oil. Mix cream...

So, tonight I made their stuffed peppers recipe, with a few small changes that I will tell you about at the end. What's For Dinner?: August 2010
http://dinnertimechicago.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
It's not always exciting, but it's always edible. Served with a side of life. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. We love tex-mex food around here and this recipe was awesome! I got it from the cookbook my daughter's preschool put together in 2008. The only things I changed were the amounts of sour cream and salsa - I used WAY more than the recipe calls for! Oh, and I omitted the cilantro (cilantro and I do not get along). 1 lb lean ground beef. 1 pkg taco seasonings. 2 green onions, finely chopped, divided.

What's For Dinner?: December 2009
http://dinnertimechicago.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
It's not always exciting, but it's always edible. Served with a side of life. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa was good to you! We had a wonderful time here. My pork tenderloin on Christmas Eve was SO delicious, my father-in-law could not stop raving about it. My daughter ate more of it than I thought her little belly could hold! Want instead - an ice cream maker! On Christmas Day I made stuffed shells for dinner - yum! Last night I made veggie pitas.

Dinnertime Blues
Sunday, November 14, 2010. I have a new fun blog. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. The most vivid memories are those of the holiday cooking. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, the 4th of July to name of few. From large meals that fed a crowd of hungry relatives or more intimate family traditions we baked, boiled, shaped and fried. Today I feel blessed as well as educated. You might get lucky and see some pictures of the dishes, (wait till you see my fab counters from the 60's), or I might pirate a photo or two from...
Dinnertime Blues | A cure for the average dinner
A cure for the average dinner. I am finally back to my blogging (yay, yay, yay.happy dance)! I finally have the kitchen of my dreams after living in my dumpy old kitchen that has remained EXACTLY the same as when it was built in the late 60’s. It was ugly in a million different ways. Now I love being in my kitchen. I happily spend plrnty of time there everyday. I love, love, love it! Here is the original recipe:. 2 cloves garlic, finely minced. 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
