Chicken and vegetable Sar Hor Fun (scrambled egg sauce rice noodles) ~ Dinner with Tina

http://dinnerwithtina.blogspot.com/2014/10/chicken-and-vegetable-sar-hor-fun.html

Wednesday, 29 October 2014. Chicken and vegetable Sar Hor Fun (scrambled egg sauce rice noodles). Sar Hor Fun, or scrambled egg noodles, is a meal I often make my family. The sauce really makes this dish. trust me! Some restaurants you go to have so much sauce it's like a soup but I feel it doesn't need to be that excessive to make this dish tasty. Plus my version has a lot more vegetables that really compliment the flavour! I hope you enjoy these noodles as much as we do. 1kg fresh rice noodles. Pour 1 ...

Chinese New Year Cake ~ Dinner with Tina

http://dinnerwithtina.blogspot.com/2015/02/chinese-new-year-cake.html

Tuesday, 17 February 2015. Chinese New Year Cake. If you go to any Asian grocery store right now, you will find an array of Chinese New Year cakes for sale near the counter. I always laugh because, if they are not fresh (and they usually aren't), they are hard as a rock which is not how CNY cakes should be. They are so easy to make (four ingredients, anyone? As well so if you have ever wondered how to make CNY cakes, look no further! 500g glutinous rice flour (available at any Asian grocery store). Hello...

Spring rolls and my Vietnamese dipping sauce ~ Dinner with Tina

http://dinnerwithtina.blogspot.com/2014/04/spring-rolls-and-my-vietnamese-dipping.html

Tuesday, 15 April 2014. Spring rolls and my Vietnamese dipping sauce. I love spring rolls. My family loves spring rolls. In fact, I don't think I know anyone who doesn't love spring rolls! They are so versatile - they are the perfect finger food at parties (I remember preparing 1,000 spring rolls for my oldest daughter's engagement party. Even though there 130 guests, I did not get to eat even one spring roll as they just flew off the plate! Makes approximately 50 spring rolls. 2 spring onions, chopped.

Pan fried dumplings ~ Dinner with Tina

http://dinnerwithtina.blogspot.com/2014/04/pan-fried-dumplings.html

Tuesday, 1 April 2014. Whenever I go out for a meal, I am always surprised that people are willing to pay $2 or even more for a single pan fried dumpling. Yes, it takes time to roll out the dough and fold each dumpling but I'm sure my children agree that home cooked dumplings are much tastier (and healthier! You can actually add whatever you want in your dumpling filling to suit your liking. And the dough? How simple is that! Place ingredients into TM bowl and mix on speed 5 for 10 seconds. Add meat, rem...

Dinner with the Wyetts. Whole Foods with a Whole Lot of Flavor. Thursday, July 19, 2012. This recipe is so simple and so good! You can really add whatever you want. You can make it vegan, vegetarian, or throw in some ham or salami chunks. It is perfect for picnics, pot lucks, sack lunches, or even main dishes. I hope you like it as much as we do! Here is what I threw in there today:. 1 lb of whole wheat pasta, cooked, drained, and rinsed with cold water. 2 cups of black olives, sliced. 2 avocados, diced.

Dinner With Weijia | Food is our common ground, a universal experience — James Beard

Food is our common ground, a universal experience — James Beard. Polenta with Veal Bolognese. February 7, 2016. When I think of conventional baby food, mushy, gummy, easy to swallow textures comes to mind. You can pretty much put anything in a blender nowadays and make baby food, but my challenge was to make adult food that don’t need to go through a blender to be baby friendly. As it cools the polenta will harden and make it easy to cut into equivalent portions. He was unsure about it for the first coup...
