Fourth and Fifth Class: Rain Gauge

http://www.discoverscienceffc.blogspot.com/2013/02/rain-gauge.html

Fourth and Fifth Class. Monday, 4 February 2013. We made a rain gauge to measure how much rain fell at our school. We cut a plastic bottle around the middle and we stuck a ruler on the outside of the bottle. We then put the bottle in a safe place where it would not get knocked over. We discovered that a lot of rain fell in one night. Our findings were as follows: Week 1 - 5mm, Week 2 - 4mm, Week 3 - 4mm, Week 4 - 3mm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We designed and made a Catapult.

We then sieved the flour into a bowl and added the yeast liquid. We mixed it all together and then we put the dough on a floured surface. We then put the bot...

http://www.discoverscienceffc.blogspot.com/2013/03/making-magnets-work.html

Fourth and Fifth Class. Thursday, 21 March 2013. First of all, we experimented with some magnets. We discovered that like poles repel and unlike poles attract. We also experimented with different materials and found out what materials magnets stick to (attract) and what magnets do not stick to (repel). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
