Fourth and Fifth Class. Thursday, 21 March 2013. Growing Tomatoes from Seed. We got some tomato seeds, compost, small fibre plant pots and some bamboo canes. We planted our Tomato seeds in the little pots and we watered them. We will keep them in the classroom. We also planted some basil. Our tomatoes are starting to grow. Junior and Senior Infants. Tuesday, 9 April 2013. Science Exhibition for Water Day of Action. We held a water science exhibition in the Community Centre on our Green Schools Day of Action. Every class did experiments on water and displayed them for the rest of the school. We learned lots and had fun. Capillary action of water. Making Lava Lamps with oil and water. A mini water cycle. Wednesday, 20 February 2013. Senior Infants investigated fruit and vegetables. Bananas, blueberries, oranges and apples.
