Random thoughts of Susan Wilhelm. Monday Musings - Memorial Day. This has always been a favorite poster by Lee Teter. A heart-wrenching depiction of a man grieving by the Vietnam Memorial and the spirits of deceased soldiers reaching out to offer consolation. I am also a first generation German-American. I don't have any American veterans in my family, but if you count ANY veteran I have lots of uncles who served in World War II and I believe they should be remembered too. It's simply what the title says. Sunday, March 25, 2018. Last week was definitely a travel week. The first two days were spent in Kelowna on a work assignment, followed by 3 vacation days in Tofino.
