Direct translation : Gold Stone relation. Meaning : If connected by a firm friendship, there won’t be a change in their relations. November 16, 2011. Proverb of the day. Since I’m kind of fazed on researching Japanese proverbs on my electronic dictionary, I think I’ll just randomly posts idioms when i feel like it. My blog is almost dead anyhow so why not. So here’s the proverb of the day. 犬も歩けば棒にあたる ”Inu mo arukeba bou ni ataru”. Direct translation : Even a dog, if it walks will find a stick. The meaning : Rather than staying still and not doing anything, if one starts doing something you might unexpectedly encounter good luck.
