Saturday, December 4, 2010. 33 Days to Ragnar. It's been a while since I posted anything. Finished the half marathon on 11/21 and came in under 2:15 which was my goal, 2:13:09, 20 minutes faster than my first one! Came in 22nd out of 188 in my age group. Had a great run until after mile 9, then my legs started cramping, one muscle at a time at first, then in multiples of 2 and 3, alternating legs. That was an experience to remember! Wednesday, October 20, 2010. 32 Days to Half, 79 to Ragnar. In the past 12 days, I have felt pretty good with the WOD's and CFE's. This week we did the 5RM deadlift, I hadn't done it since May and did 148# then and barely managed it. Lifted 153 this week and it felt pretty darned good. Saturday, January 1, 2011. 6 Days to Ragnar. It looks like the weather will be perfect for Ragnar and we won't need to bring a lot of cold gear. I can't imagine that any of us will get much sleep so it will be interesting how we hold up, especially that last leg. January 4, 2011 at 8:59 AM. Sunday, June 27, 2010. It's been nearly 3 months since "The Challenge" and, for the most part, I have continued with the Paleo lifestyle. I have gotten in the habit of munching on a few pretzels in the evening, had a couple of potato-chip crises, and about every other week or so have a delicious scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Best so far is at Love Boat down towards Fort Myers Beach. Yum. A big thanks to OCD, Monica, and her friend Kaylee for the run at Lakes Park Saturday! Jason is a sadist.
