Veled to the United States to pursue her professional studies in photography and visual art. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, Italy and Mexico. Ironically, the cartel 'los caballeros templarios' gained some public acceptance by doing the social justice that seemed to lack from the Mexican government itself. However, in order to finance this criminal organization, the community was undergoing constant extortion and life threats or murders in order to obtain money.

Surrounded by what was uncommon to her after she came to a new country, I noticed she began isolating herself from any exterior interaction. A level of discomfort and nostalgia was evident in her mundane activities. With the help of symbols that I was aware of in the surroundings, I attempted to describe her internal struggle and I began documenting our daily life.
