The Hair of the Dog. And, as far as I remember, the parish priest did it…. After school, I read English at King’s College London and went to work in publishing. This effectively killed off any desire to write and it was not until I was on maternity leave expecting my twins that I wrote. Which is loosely based on my dad’s life.Though I had worked in publishing for more than ten years, I had no idea how to get my own book published!
