Monday, April 4, 2011. It's all a dream - exposed brick and wide-open lofts. If I wasn't a happily married woman who loved sharing a quaint cabin-in-the-woods with TheHandyman I would live here. Via Musing of a Night Owl. Lofts and Exposed Brick Walls * Swoon*. Would you live in a totally different style home if you had the chance? If so what style? Posted by Reginia @NotSoModern. the Not so Modern family: DIY Apothecary Bottles
http://thenotsomodernfamily.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-apothecary-bottles.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. I have always had an affinity for old apothecary bottles. Something about imagining them lined up on the shop shelves always makes me smile. I am not sure why, I mean it's not like I have ever seen an actual Shop or anything, but all those different shaped and colored bottles always catch my eye. Sigh* - HandyMan thinks I am nutty enough but imagine if I said I want to take a fieldtrip here. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Seriously - a pretty LYSOL bottle? Check out all t...

I was recently asked why call it "The NOT so modern family"? Simple, because the bulk of people today want bigger and better, and we just want less.less bills, less to clean, less to complicate our lives. We moved to Small Town GA to get away from the urban sprawl that was overtaking our hometown and we love it here! Be thank...

the Not so Modern family: Scattered No Longer
http://thenotsomodernfamily.blogspot.com/2011/02/scattered-no-longer.html
Wednesday, February 16, 2011. The place - no fun finding it all again. Due to this habit I have been on the lookout for something to hold my jewelry. Yes I have a jewelry box and even a necklace holder in the bathroom but for some reason I never take the pieces off when I am near them. A few weeks ago MeganDVD @ BeautyintheAttempt posted her PB Knock-off. And it hit me - that is what I need but a bowl! 214 later I was ready to work! 1 - Glass Bowl $1.00. 1 - Glass Candlestick $1.00. How easy is that?

And I am working on my "want" list for the next time we go. :) One of the things I picked up was a Billy "B" Bookend. In my on going mission to make Emma's room more colorful this vanity was our latest change. I received it for free awhile back and the beige and gold finish was just not doing it for her.
