As we first approched the raptor above in our car, and from a long distance away, the bird on the branch looked like it might be a Bald Eagle. I’m always excited to get a good picture of a Bald Eagle in the wild, so we approached as close as we dared, shut off the car and got out the camera and binoculars. He was sitting qui. As we zoomed in with the long lens and binoculars, it became obvious that he was not an Eagle.

These three sandhill cranes are making their way from their night time stay in the waters of the Bosque del Apache, to the morning feeding grounds of the fields to the north. I think they make a striking image against the strong golden hues of the morning sunrise. While birds act in only one way, we can take lessons from these birds since not all humans act like these birds.

Wednesday, April 13, 2011. I thought some of you might like to take a peek at our playroom. Today the boys and I did a total dump, sort and clean in there. The pictures aren't great, but I wanted to take them while it was still tidy. I not really a fan of wood burning fireplaces, especially with kids around. Monday, January 30, 2012. Another cool idea I found on pinterest. Is changing a old t-shirt into a scarf/necklace. You take the t-shirt and cut the body of the shirt into strips about 1inch thick. Then stretch the loops you now have. Then you can wear them in different ways. Here are the two I chose. I wrapped another part of the shirt around the seams. These are for me, but it is easier (and cuter) if I have my boys model them for me. You can wear it long. Or doubled and short. I love this face. Here we...

Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Jayce's 12 Month Well Baby Visit. I think it is odd that we always seem to be assigned the doctor who thinks being small is a HUGE problem, but when we see another doctor (because our assigned doctor doesn't have any available appointments) they always can see the boys are healthy and just fine being small.
