The Williams Family: May 2009

http://www.dougandelainelife.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

God Has Built A Beautiful Victory. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. I think I've finally pinpointed the reason why I never blog. There's so much PRESSURE! I read blog after blog where people write with such introspect and creativity. I feel like our blog needs to live up to the entertaining quality of all the imaginative friends I have, but I've finally resigned myself to the fact that that's just not going to happen. In my 30th year of life, Doug and I celebrated much! Here are some pics from the last few months.

God Has Built A Beautiful Victory. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. I love to decorate! I REALLY love to decorate our house. (Just ask Doug to show you our bank statements - LOL). I think that decorating your house turns your house it into a home and HOME is where I always want my family to feel comfortable, cozy, loved and safe. Welcome to our Holiday Home! No holiday home is complete without a scented candle. Mulled Cider from Wal-Mart is my F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E. 11 (they kept coming! I got these to document o...

God Has Built A Beautiful Victory. Sunday, October 28, 2012. I have many things. I have many people to love. I have many people who love me. But my anguish causes me to be fixated on that which I have not:. I have 463 pictures of her. I sit at my computer for hours and hours looking at them over and over again. She is the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Benaiah LOVES bath time! Bath time has become a two man job; and since our bathroom wasn't designed in a way where t...

God Has Built A Beautiful Victory. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Christmas '09: Phase I. What a wonderful first Christmas together Doug and I had this year! First of all, we are so blessed to both be educators and get 2 full weeks of vacation! That night, Doug's brother, Clay, and his family were able to join us, and the whole family was treated to pizza at our favorite pizza place, Sal and Mookies! So Scot left Sunday afternoon and Chuck and his family rolled into town from Florida Sunday night! James A...

God Has Built A Beautiful Victory. Thursday, September 16, 2010. Ok So here are my pictures from Paris. There aren't nearly as many as there were from Ireland but that's because we were only in Paris for 24 hours. Literally. We walked past many of the major tourist attractions, took a picture to prove we were there and then walked on to see the next icon. And I always smile :). Saturday, July 19, 2014. Sunday, December 8, 2013. Maggie rolled over for the first time yesterday. We were doing tummy time, and she was listing to the right. She kept leaning, and leaning, and then she rolled over onto her back. She had a great smile! I put her back on her belly and she did it two more times. Then she was fussing so we stopped. Monday, June 25, 2012. Sunday, June 17, 2012. So, my dear sweet baby is.miraculous. Today while trying to learn/teach how to use the potty :0) she made a beautiful remark. Now, let me remind everyone that my little girl is already her own person. She may only be 21 months old, but she is so mature that I don't have any idea where she came from. The only thing I know is she's straight from heaven. The miracle of all of this is that it re-affirms the fact that none of us are ever alone. Even when we fe...

Doug & Emily

Growing our family through adoption. Monday, August 18, 2014. A convertible, a cave, and a cafe. The cave was an awesome adventure. It was 888 stairs round trip, so we got a little workout. But we loved it. We worked up quite an appetite by the time we were done (especially considering we had to take a later tour of the cave than expected), so we stopped at Cafe Sabor in Garden City for some dinner. Yum! Monday, May 5, 2014. Nfluence I can be in the lives of the children around me. Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
