Growing our family through adoption. Monday, May 5, 2014. Mother's Day can be a tough and heartbreaking time for women who long to be mothers but can't. I've gone through my fair share of those Mother's Days, and at times it has been hard, but as the years have gone by my view of celebrating Mother's Day has changed. Growing our family through adoption. Monday, February 3, 2014. Doug loved making friends with his nieces and nephew that were there! Being alone for three days was a little lonely (we haven't spent many nights apart from each other in a while), but thankfully most of the time I was busy working, and I did find some time to bake some scrumptious brownie cookies. Growing our family through adoption. Monday, August 18, 2014. A convertible, a cave, and a cafe. The cave was an awesome adventure. It was 888 stairs round trip, so we got a little workout. But we loved it. We worked up quite an appetite by the time we were done (especially considering we had to take a later tour of the cave than expected), so we stopped at Cafe Sabor in Garden City for some dinner. We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world this year. We also said goodbye to her this year. Caroline's burial box that we were able to paint and personalize. We got to wake up every morning and experience the sweetest smile from the cutest little boy in the world this year. We cried out to the Lord every single day to bring healing to his body.
