On September 26th, 2011, the government of Canada recognized the First Nation Indian status of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nations Band in Newfoundland and over 20,000 people of Indian descent received Indian Status. I am one of the founding members of this bandMore information is available at www.qalipu.ca. I have done some steel kinetic sculptures for the garden and I'm very interested in doing more steel with polychrome finishes! Doug Butler Studio and Sculpture Garden.
