The Douglas Family

Memories in the making. Sunday, January 11, 2015. Saturdays are for sleepovers. Last night we had my sweet niece and nephew stay the night. This weekend was the last weekend of deer season, so I kept them, that way my brother and sister in law could hunt last night and early this morning. Chase had one of his friends stay the night too. When the littles got here (the bigs hid out in Chase's room most of the night) they all played for a bit before deciding playdoh was the way to go! Cole's whoopie cushion...

The Douglas Family: December 2014

http://www.douglasmemories.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Memories in the making. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Every year at Christmas we make a family Gingerbread House. The kids love it and it's such a fun way to get into the Christmas Spirit. Hadley was old enough to participate this year and she loved it! The boys were awfully serious this year, making sure everything was just right. Daddy helped them construct it just right and then they were ready for the rest. Mom and Dad also constructed a personal name sign for just above the front door. Chase was ver...

Memories in the making. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Love is in the air. I decided that this year for Valentines Day we would make heart shaped pizzas for our special candle light dinner. Which was actually the day before Valentines Day since I had to work on Valentines Night. I am determined to make every holiday special, no matter what our schedule may hold! The boys were really excited that they got to make these themselves! You can see the determination to only get those yellow pieces on the pizza!

The Douglas Family: Robertson Christmas Eve

http://www.douglasmemories.blogspot.com/2015/01/robertson-christmas-eve.html

Memories in the making. Thursday, January 1, 2015. One of our must favorite Christmas get togethers is the Robertson Family Christmas. It's held every year in Christmas Eve Day. Our kiddos looked so great. I love dressing them up for this. And real smiles from Chase. Love! Some of the kiddos coloring Christmas masterpieces. Chase and Kinna had their own Christmas Dinner - and were so happy about it. These two are two peas in a pod. Little bit of pool after dinner. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Memories in the making. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Hadley's 1st Birthday Party! With Hadley's 1st Birthday just days before Easter, we decided to wait and have her Birthday Party last weekend so that it wouldn't interfere with any one's Easter plans. Here is her cake and cupcakes. Pretty cool huh? Thanks Aunt Jamie and Uncle Bobby! Here's the Birthday Girl herself - ready for some party action! And the guests helping themselves to some punch. Grandpa Fred and I. Grandma, my sister and I. It was so cute!

Thursday, October 30, 2014. Halloween-ing, Continued. . . Wednesday continued Halloween festivities with the library party for the girls in the morning and the midweek church party for the boys in the evening. The story time kids all dressed up for a fun morning at the library. It's always interesting trying to get this many kids to actually stand still long enough for a picture. . . Then they had some yummy snacks and a cute craft to make. Monday, October 27, 2014. Let the Halloween Parties Begin! Perfe...

Dwyer family: School's Out for Summer!

http://calvinandoliver.blogspot.com/2015/05/schools-out-for-summer.html

Tuesday, May 19, 2015. School's Out for Summer! The end of another school year - Wow! How did that happen so fast? It really seemed to sneak up on me this year, but then again, I probably think that every year. Today was the last time the bus would pull all the way up our driveway to pick up Violet for afternoon preschool. It always amazes me how well Miss Debbie can maneuver a full-sized bus. Of course, she's been doing it for 34 years! The boys had their yearbook signing day, and boy was that fun!

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. How Can She Be 5? Her party may have been over the weekend, but my Violet Joy's actual birthday is today! She celebrated today with her school friends. Miss Katie placed the birthday hat on her head and they all counted as they placed 1-2-3-4-5 candles on top! Once the 5 candles were on, Miss Vi was ready to go hit the cupcakes! She got them all passed out to her friends. . . And didn't even wait for the singing to finish before she dug in. Nice 'stache, kid. Things like go t...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. Baseball practices are now in full swing with games beginning in just a couple of short weeks. Calvin's practices were scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and being the smart man he is, my husband (and Oliver's coach) scheduled the younger boys' practice immediately following. We have had some b-e-a-utiful spring evenings to play at the park while big brother(s) were at practice! Violet's all-time favorite playground equipment is the tire swing. She LOVES to slide!

Dwyer family: Happy Birthday to Russ!

http://calvinandoliver.blogspot.com/2015/08/happy-birthday-to-russ.html

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Happy Birthday to Russ! We celebrated the Best Guy in the world this week with Daddy's birthday! As we did last year, we took the family to watch the Royals play. Leaving straight from church, it rained on us the whole way there, and I was nervous that the game might get rained out. Thankfully, the rain stopped a few minutes before game time and didn't start back up. The view of the stadium and cloudy skies as we arrived:. And the boys got to meet KayCee! It was Star Wars Day,...

Dwyer family: Ozarks Family Tradition

http://calvinandoliver.blogspot.com/2015/08/ozarks-family-tradition.html

Monday, August 3, 2015. Our annual weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks with the Big Deterding family was a blast, as always! Once again, we were spoiled by my cousin Kristol and her husband David with the use of their gorgeous lake house. And they had a new toy this year, a 24' x 6' Chill Mat! This was the ultimate toy for the kids as they played "King of the Mountain" for hours. We did kick the big kids off periodically to let the little ones have a turn on the big mat. Some relaxing at the outdoor kitche...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Final Hurrah at SDC. For a special treat at the end of the year, Grandma Cheryl took Calvin, Oliver, Tyler, Brynn and me to Silver Dollar City. We stayed at one of our favorite hotels, the Barrington. Our first evening was relaxing with some pizza and swimming. Grandma was brave enough to join the crazy kids in the hot tub. I've never been to SDC after Christmas, and I loved getting a little bit more of Christmas before the season is over. A very crisp, clear winter day!

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100:4-5. What a great Thanksgiving weekend we are finishing up! After dinner, Sydney and Violet treated us to some music on the piano. . . While the boys all watched some KU basketball. (No football on the TV this Thanksgiving! We ladies went ...

Saturday, August 30, 2014. Car Show and Bake Sale. Friday evening was the annual Car Show on the bricks in downtown Wellsville. The weather was so much nicer this year than the past couple, and the turnout was fantastic! There were hundreds of cool cars to look at and the whole town came out for the occasion. There were SO many yummy treats this year; Calvin couldn't decide which ones he wanted to bring home! Cindy and me with our special girls! What a fun evening - I just love our town! Dwyer family: June 2015

http://calvinandoliver.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 22, 2015. The boys were excited to see a new state, so we made sure our vacation took us through Wyoming and its capitol city of Cheyenne. We love visiting other state capitols - the buildings are always so beautiful and unique! Another Indian that the boys were eager to check out. The gorgeous domed ceiling. . . And the Senate chambers with its equally-beautiful stained-glass ceiling. The capitol building in Cheyenne didn't disappoint! And we got to see the impressive snow melt and the resu...

Douglas Menswear – Just another WordPress site

Just another WordPress site.
